(Lesson 4973) (09-12-25) James 2:10
“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
Today’s lesson teaches that those who claim to obey the old laws and commandments yet violate just one point, is guilty of violating the entire law. This verse makes it clear that God does not measure righteousness by selective obedience. The ONLY righteousness that is accepted by God is that righteousness that is imputed to those who put their faith in the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ. Breaking even one commandment places a person under the same guilt before God, as those who broke it all. Sadly, most of today’s “Christians” are guilty of rabidly adhering to their own chosen points of the law of Christ while totally ignoring the others. ~
