(Lesson 4438)(03-28-24) Luke 21:29-32
“And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.”
In today’s quote, Jesus told the Parable of the Fig Tree. He explained that just as one can see a fig tree (or any tree) budding and conclude that summer is near, similarly, when people saw the events He had described happening, they should know that the Kingdom of God was near. Jesus emphasized the certainty of His prophesies by stating that the current generation would not pass away until all He had spoken had come to pass.~
