Lesson 4415

 (Lesson 4415)(03-05-24) Luke 17:5-6

And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.”

Today’s quote depicts the apostles asking Jesus to increase their faith. In response, Jesus illustrated the power of faith with a metaphor: (this lesson still applies today) if we have faith as tiny as a mustard seed, we could command a tree to be removed from its place and planted in the sea, and the tree would obey. This teaching emphasizes that even a small amount of faith, if genuine, has immense power to make drastic change and to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks.~
