(Lesson 4865) (05-26-25) Galatians 3:25-29
“But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
In today’s quote, Paul declared that after the new law of faith came, believers no longer needed a tutor and were freed from the old laws. He said that all who believe in Christ Jesus had become sons of God through faith. He explained that as many as had been “baptized into Christ, had put on Christ, emphasizing a spiritual union—not the physical ritual water baptism. This baptism Paul spoke of refers to the baptism of the Holy Ghost, the same baptism that John the Baptist promised Jesus would administer, the same baptism that was promised and poured out upon the Jews at Pentecost, marking a believer’s true entrance into the spiritual body and being of Jesus Christ. Paul concluded by saying that in Christ there is no difference in people, neither Jew nor Greek, slave or free, male or female—for all are one in Christ. And, if they belong to Christ, then they are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise. Salvation comes not by heritage, social status, physical actions, or the law—but by faith and being baptized by the Holy Spirit into Jesus Christ. ~
