(Lesson 4858) (05-19-25) Galatians 1:10-12
“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
In today’s quote, Paul stressed that he did not seek to please men but aimed to serve Christ. He emphasized that if he were still trying to please men, he would not be a servant of Christ. Paul declared that the gospel he preached was not according to, or from mankind; he neither received it from mankind nor was he taught it by mankind, but rather, he received it straight from mouth of Jesus Christ Himself. ~
