(Lesson 4679)(11-25-24) Acts 18:19-23
“And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews. When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not; But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus. And when he had landed at Caesarea, and gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch. And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over a (ll the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.”
In today’s quote, Paul, along with Priscilla and Aquila, arrived in Ephesus. He preached in the synagogue, and the people invited him to stay longer, but he declined, promising to return if it was to be God's will. Paul then sailed to Caesarea, visited the church in Jerusalem, and greeted the believers. Afterward, he travelled to Antioch, where he stayed for a while. He then set out on a third missionary journey, traveling through the regions of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening the churches. ~
