(Lesson 4540)(07-08-24) John 12:24
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.”
In today’s quote, Jesus used the metaphor of a grain of wheat to illustrate a profound spiritual truth. He explained that a single grain of wheat must fall to the ground and die in order to provide the necessary renewal of life. If a seed does not die, it remains a solitary grain without fulfilling its potential to generate new life. Jesus applied that metaphor to His own divine purpose demonstrating that He had to die so that those of us who believe in Him can have, not only life, but life everlasting. ~
