(Lesson 2851)(10-16-19) 1 Corinthians 1:18
“ For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”
It is very important to note that, it today’s quote, Paul said, “the preaching of the cross” that is to power of God, NOT the preaching of water baptism or any other earthly ritual. “The preaching of the cross” refers to the virgin born life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension of our Lord Jesus Chist.
Faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for us is the ONLY means by which a lost soul can have his/her sins remitted, and by which that soul can be eternally saved from the wrath of God.~
