Lesson 4887

 Lesson 4887) (06-17-25) Ephesians 5:1-4

“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.”

Today’s lesson commands believers to walk in love, that kind of love that was demonstrated by Jesus when He gave Himself for all our sins. The passage warns against engaging in or even speaking about immoral behavior, impurity, or greed, as such conduct is not appropriate for those who are set apart as God's people. Instead, we are to live a life of thanksgiving reflecting a heart aligned with the righteousness that is in Christ Jesus. ~
