Lesson 4513

 (Lesson 4513)(06-11-24) John 7:33-36

Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?”

In today’s quote, Jesus told His followers that He would be with them for only a short while longer before returning to the Father who sent Him. He indicated that they would look for Him but would not be able to find Him, and where He was going, they could not come. The Jews were confused by His statements, they wondered if He planned to go teach among the Gentiles, as they did not understand His reference to returning to the Father.~
