(Lesson 4487)(05-16-24) John 4:27-30
“And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.”
In today’s quote, Jesus’ disciples returned and were surprised to find Him talking with the Samaritan woman, though none questioned Him about it. The woman, having heard Jesus declare Himself as the Messiah, leaves her waterpot and goes into the city. She tells the people of Samaria about her encounter and asked them to, "Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?" Her testimony piques the curiosity of the townspeople, prompting them to leave their city and come to Jesus to learn more about Him for themselves.~
