(Lesson 3831)(07-15-22) Galatians 5:1-4
“ Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.”
Today’s quote should put away all doubt that, for all of us whom have believed in Jesus, the old laws of the Jews were laid to rest.
For those who still believe they must obey the old laws, the quote goes further to say that, IF one believes in those laws as do the Jews, “ye are fallen from grace”.
Spiritual rebirth and the salvation of one’s eternal soul comes ONLY by faith in the righteous blood of Jesus Christ.
“FOR BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH; And that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)~
