Lesson 2476

(Lesson 2476)(09-28-18) Mark 13:21-23
“ And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.”

In today’s quote, Jesus warned that there will be many “false prophets” who will come forth to decieve us. That warning has already been fulfilled many times over.
Christian people should always be on the alert for those who come to distort and confuse the word of God. As I have said before, there are many of today’s false prophets who would have lost souls to believe that in order to achieve eternal salvation, they must jump through a series of physical hoops such as undergoing water “baptism” and living perfect sin free lives thereafter. That contention is put forth by most all religious organizations. That contention is a complete distortion of what the New Testament actually teaches. Faith in Jesus Christ crucified is the ONLY pre-requisite to everlasting life with God in heaven.~
