(Lesson 2685)(04-30-19) John 14:16-18
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
In today’s lesson, Jesus promised to send a “Comforter” in His absence. The Comforter, God did indeed send, is the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ Himself. With the power of the Holy Spirit, as yesterday’s quote confirmed, we are able to do all things. The catch is, sadly, that many of us don’t have sufficient faith. ~
