(Lesson 2661)(04-06-19) John 8:31-32
“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Today’s quote is a very important one in that it relates that when Jesus spoke of salvation, He spoke of it in the future sense. Jesus said, “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye SHALL know the truth, and the truth SHALL MAKE YOU FREE.” He said it that way because eternal salvation could not be achieved until AFTER Head completed His divine mission to present Himself as a perfect sacrifice for all of those who would come to believe in Him.
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name”. (John 1:12)~
