(Lesson 2596)(01-30-19) Luke 19:45-48
    “And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought; Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves. And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him, And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.”

    In today’s quote, Jesus condemned those who had defiled the house of God as the leaders of the Jews began the process of finding ways to destroy Him.
    Sadly, even today, there are still those who seek to erase the presence of God from our lives. Thank God, they will never accomplish their goal. “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shalll not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16-18) ~
