(Lesson 2588)(01-22-19) Luke 18:15-17
“ And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.”
In today’s quote, Jesus affirmed that total dependence such as that of little children makes up the essence of His kingdom.
This lesson also makes it vividly clear that if a person seeking salvation does not surrender completely and make him/herself as a completely dependent child, he/she will not enter into the kingdom.
“And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:2-3) ~
