(Lesson 2559)(12-23-18) Luke 12:8-10
“Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.”
This lesson should be stressed among all of those who claim to be Christians today. In our everyday lives, there is little, if anything, ever discussed about Jesus and what He has done for all of us. Is that because we are ashamed to talk about Him? I pray that is not the case, because if it is, we are in for a rude awakening.
Also in this lesson, touching on the same principal, Jesus warned against blasphemy of the Holy Ghost. Many of today’s Christians, in some ways, guilty of that too. By watching television programs that make fun of Christianity and joke about the Holy Triune of God, we are, by proxy, blaspheming the Holy Ghost. ~
