Lesson 2526

(Lesson 2526)(11-19-18) Luke 6:47-49
“Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”

Today’s quote is a forewarning to those who are only surface Christians or those who are Christians in name only. Jesus, in essence therein said that those who actually believe in every facet of His gospel demonstrate daily that they are indeed Christians. That is because they are compelled by the spirit of Jesus Christ that has been imputed into them through faith in Him.
Every living soul continues to “sin” after his/her spiritual rebirth because sin is born into all mankind since the fall of Adam; However, because of the goodness of Jesus Christ imputed into him/her, every true Christian WILL be easily recognizable by the deeds they do. ~
