(Lesson 2198)(12-15-17) James 2:10-13
“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”
Today’s quote clearly establishes that if a soul is found guilty of one sin, even the tiniest, he/she is guilt if ALL sin.
This point should be very important to those who are studying God’s word in search of a means to eternal salvation since some believe, and contend, that small sins don’t count against our salvation so much as the big sins do. The facts are that ALL sin counts against our eternal souls unless we are saved by the Grace of God through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank and praise almighty God that NO sin counts against our our eternal souls if we have the righteousness of Jesus Christ imputed into us through faith in that same Jesus Christ.~
