Lesson 5342

 (Lesson 5342)(09-22-26) Luke 8:16-18 

   “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. 

 

     In today’s quote, Jesus taught that a lighted candle should not be hidden under a bed but placed so that everyone can see the light, adding that whoever has will be given more and whoever does not have will lose even what they think they have. That means spiritual truth and understanding should be active. Those of us who use and apply the spiritual truth will receive even greater knowledge and insight, while those who neglect or fail to value the spiritual knowledge they have been given will eventually lose even the understanding they thought they possessed. ~
