(Lesson 4508)(06-06-24) John 7:2-5
“Now the Jew's feast of tabernacles was at hand. His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world. For neither did his brethren believe in him.”
In today’s quote, it is mentioned that the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was approaching. Jesus' brothers suggested that He go to Judea so the people there could see the works He was doing. They argued that anyone wanting to become publicly known does not work in secret and encouraged Him to show Himself to the world. However, it is noted that His Judean brothers did not believe in Him at that time.~
