(Lesson 3153)(08-19-20) Matthew 10:7-10
“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.”
The twelve apostles were sent out to preach “the kingdom of heaven is at hand”. That meant that the new law of faith was soon to be completed. The apostles were also told to rely on their faith to provide for all they would need. Wouldn’t it be a wonderful if those of us who claim to be followers of Christ today had such faith?
