Lesson 2536

(Lesson 2536)(11-29-18) Luke 8:19-21
“ Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press. And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee. And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

In today’s quote, Jesus demonstrated that His immediate family meant no more to Him than those who had chosen to follow Him and obey His gospel.
When a lost soul takes on the mantel of Christianity, that person is expected to do the work that is demanded of them just as the apostles did during Jesus’ ministry. We should put nothing before the Lord, He should be the breath we breathe.~
