(Lesson 4414)(03-04-24) Luke 17:3-4
“Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.”
Today’s quote instructs on forgiveness and accountability among believers. Jesus told us to be vigilant: if a brother (a member of the church) sins against us, we should rebuke him; and if he repents, we should forgive him. Even if the brother sins against us over and over again, we are to forgive him each time. This lesson emphasizes the importance of addressing wrongdoing while maintaining a readiness to forgive, underscoring the value of repentance and forgiveness in the Church.~
