(Lesson 3718)(03-24-22) Romans 4:14-15
“For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.”
Today’s quote tells us that wherever there are laws that, supposedly, provide righteouness, the law of faith is made void. For instance, if we are capable of making ourselves righteous through the law, there is no need for grace. However, seeing that we CANNOT become righteous by obedience to the law, because we are incapable of obeying the law, we MUST have faith in order to receive God’s grace. Therefore, “by grace are ye saved through faith”.~
