Lesson (2954)(01-31-20) Colossians 1:18-19
“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell”
This quote clearly established that, from the beginning of all things, God the Father gave to Jesus, (God in the flesh), power over all things always.
This lesson however, comes with a caviat. Jesus (God) does indeed have power over all things in the heavens and the earth, and has from the beginning; However, God gave every individual the power over his/her own body and mind (freewill), to do as he/she pleases while here on earth Each individual also has the option to choose or reject the eternal saving grace of Jesus.
In the end, Jesus will return to take away Satan’s influence over the minds of mankind. On that great and horrible day, lost souls will have lost their option to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. A great day for those of us who are eternally saved, but a horrible day of damnation for those who reject Jesus.~

Lesson 2953
Lesson (2953)(01-30-20) Colossians 1:9-17
“ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
In today’s quote, Paul expressed his constant mindfullness of the Colossians and related that Jesus is God in the flesh and the Master of all things.~

Lesson 2952
Lesson (2952)(01-29-20) Colossians 1:8
“ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.”
In today’s quote, Paul expressed his love and gratitude for the effort that had been made by the Colossians.~

Lesson 2951
Lesson (2951)(01-28-20) Philippians 4:8- 23
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you. All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”
In today’s quote, Paul passes on his gratitude to the Philippians for their continued support. He also, as we should always do, gave all the glory to God.~

Lesson 2950
Lesson (2950)(01-27-20) Philippians 4:4-7
“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
To me, this quote is one of the sweetest admonitions to be found in the entire New Testament. How blessed our lives would be if we would just follow those simple rules.~

Lesson 2949
Lesson (2949)(01-26-20)3 Philippians 4:3
“ And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.”
This very short lesson further demonstrates that the entering of one’s name into the Lamb’s book of life, does NOT require that that one “work out” his/her own salvation. That was established in today’s quote when Paul stated that the names of Clement, and other fellowlaborers, have ALREADY been entered into the book of life.
If a lost soul places his/her faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, the name of that soul has already been entered into the Lamb’s book of life and sealed therein by the Holy Spirit of Jesus God.~

Lesson 2948
Lesson (2948)(01-25-20)3 Philippians 4:1-2
“Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.”
In today’s lesson Paul admonished Euodias and Syntyche to resolve their differences in respect to the gospel of Christ.
Sadly, dissension among those who profess themselves to be followers of Jesus Christ is very common, even today. That dissension is one of the greatest stumbling blocks that stands between eternal salvation and eternal damnation for many.
There are far to many, so-called, Christians today who distort the true doctrine of Jesus Christ shaping it to fit their own agendas of greed and power.Thank God the very real and true gospel of Christ is still available to those of us who choose to find it.
It behooves us ALL to resolve those differences and come together in truth for the honor and glory of God.~

Lesson 2947
Lesson (2947)(01-24-20)3 Philippians 3:4-21
“Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”
In today’s quote, Paul admitted that everything he did as a Jew under the old law, stood in direct contrast to the teachings of Jesus Christ. He also related that every thing he then believed as a devoted apostle of Jesus Christ, stood in direct contrast to the ways of the Jews, (the law).
This lesson advises us to hold onto our unwavering faith in Jesus and shun the efforts of those, like the Jews of old, who would compromise and distort the perfect doctrine of Jesus Christ.~

Lesson 2946
Lesson (2946)(01-23-20)3 Philippians 3:1-3
“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.”
In today’s quote, Paul warned the Philippians to be on the lookout for the evil silver tongues of the Jews, “beware of dogs, beware of evil workers”. We know he was referring to the Jews because he went further to say the “we”, those whom have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, are now God’s chosen in that we “rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh”, (the restrictions of the law).
Those of us who teach the true doctrine of Jesus Christ today are no longer threatened by the Jews, as were the Christians of Paul’s day, but we, today, confront a continual barrage of heretical lies and distortions from all manner of slick tongued angels of Satan.
God has given us sufficient armory, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to stand against that barrage because we are blessed with the cloak of power and righteousness that has been imputed into us because of our faith in Christ Jesus.~

Lesson 2945
Lesson (2945)(01-22-20)3 Philippians 2:19-30
“But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel. Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me. But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly. Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick. For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation: Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.”
Today’s lesson refers to the mission work that was being done in the early churches. Today’s quote relates that Paul sent Timothy and epaphroditus to witness to the Philippians.~

Lesson 2944
Lesson (2944)(01-21-20)3 Philippians 2:14-18
“Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.”
In today’s quote, Paul again encouraged the Philippians to continue their exemplary service for the Lord. He also congratulated them for their faithfulness.~

Lesson 2943
Lesson (2943)(01-20-20)3 Philippians 2:12-13
“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
There are some who contend that the first part of today’s quote declares that, once a lost soul has accepted Jesus Christ as savior, that person must live a life of perfection in order to “work out” their own salvation. That, however, is not at all what that part of this quote implies. In the sentence immediately following, Paul said, “it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Very simply put, whatever a child of God does while bound to this earthly body, is “justified” by the divine will of God. Paul said, “ Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” (Galatians 2:16-21)~

Lesson 2942
Lesson (2942)(01-19-20)3 Philippians 2:1-11
“ If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
In today’s quote, Paul encouraged the individual members of the church at Philippi to remain faithful to the word and humble in their attitudes toward one another just as Jesus Christ remained humble, even through His death on the cross.~

Lesson 2941
Lesson (2941)(01-18-20)3 Philippians 7:21-30
“1 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again. Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.”
Today’s quote relates how Paul was caught between wanting to die and be with the Lord in heaven and his burning desire to continue his appointed task here on earth. Thank God he chose to remain and and teach so that we could have access to the wisdom his divine council through his letters to the churches.
In the last part of the quote, Paul encouraged the Phillipians to keep up their devotion to the Lord’s work.~

Lesson 2940
Lesson (2940)(01-17-20)3 Philippians 7:12-20
“ But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places; And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. For I know this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.”
Today’s quote relates how Paul was humbled by the fact that he was threatened and tortured for preaching the word of God. He even recognized that those who had attempted to mock him, through their own ignorance, had helped spread the good news of God’s eternal salvation for those who would come to believe. He knew, as we should today, that any means by which the word of God can be made is acceptable.~

Lesson 2939
Lesson (2939)(01-16-20)3 Philippians 7:1-11
“ Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”
In today’s quote, Paul and Timothy passed their highest regards, and gave a rave review for their efforts, to the children of God ad Philipi.~

Lesson 2938
Lesson 2938)(01-15-20)3 Ephesians 6:19-24
“And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.”
In today’s quote, Paul asked for the prayers of the Ephesians and promised to send Tychicus to them.~

Lesson 2937
Lesson 2937)(01-14-20)3 Ephesians 6:10-18
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints”.
It is of the utmost importance that every Child of God read, and take to heart, the instructions Paul related in today’s quote.
There are very few religious organizations who, today, strictly adhere to the doctrine that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, established and sealed with His very life. The vast majority of today’s so-called Christian denominations have no devotion to truth and have given themselves over to all manner of heretical rituals and restrictions that have nothing to do with what Jesus taught.
It is my sincere desire that through these, subject by subject lessons, we can present and maintain the truth of the doctrine of Jesus Christ. ~

Lesson 2936
Lesson 2936)(01-1-20)3 Ephesians 6:5-9
“ Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.”
Thank God there are no more ‘master servant’ situations in our great country, therefore, this lesson no longer has meaning to usward except for the principles of love and respect that it relates that we should maintain toward everyone.~

Lesson 2935
Lesson 2935)(01-12-20) Ephesians 6:1-4
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”
Today’s lesson contains Paul's instructions for the behavior of Christian children.~

Lesson 2934
Lesson 2934)(01-11-20) Ephesians 5:25-33
“ Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.”
As was mentioned in yesterday’s lesson, today’s quote relates how a Christian husband is to regard his wife. He is to love his wife as “Christ also loved the church”. In my opinion, there can be no greater love. If indeed a husband loves his wife as Christ loves the church, he will revere her just as she is to revere him. This scripture gives no specific authority to either the husband or the wife but establishes that when a man and woman come together in marriage, they literally become one individual. Both being bound to the other in every aspect of life.
It is important to note that Paul, in the last part of today’s quote, made the point of stating that, although his references appeared to be directed toward husbands and wives, his conversation, in general, described the relationship between Christ and the His church.
Galatians 3:26-28, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized (immersed) into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, THERE IS NEITHER MALE NOR FEMALE: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."~

Lesson 2933
Lesson 2933)(01-10-20) Ephesians 5:22-24
“ Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.”
Today’s quote needs no further explanation, it very clearly speaks for itself; However, this instruction from Paul does not stand on an island, in tomorrow’s lesson we will learn what a Christian husband is to be toward his wife.~

Lesson 2932
(Lesson 2932)(01-09-20) Ephesians 5:11-21
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”
In today’s quote Paul lays out more of the ways the members of Christ’s church are to conduct themselves.
Although there are still some left, the churches that strictly adhere to these examples are sadly very few.~

Lesson 2931
(Lesson 2931)(01-08-20) Ephesians 5:6-10
“ Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.”
The opening of today’s quote says, “Let no man deceive you with vain words”. That bit of Godly wisdom is very important, and has great bearing on today’s so-called Christian churches, seeing that there is nothing more distructive to the gospel of Jesus Christ than the works of those who would use the church for their own profit. Therefore, this warning should remain foremost in the mind of every true child of God.~

Lesson 2930
(Lesson 2930)(01-07-20) Ephesians 5:1-5
“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.”
In today’s quote, Paul again cautions the Galatians, and thereby us, to keep their/our hearts and minds devoted to the work of the Lord Jesus Christ.~

Lesson 2929
(Lesson 2929)(01-06-20) Ephesians 4:20-32
“But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”
Today’s lesson is an instruction as to how Christian people are to live their lives. The quote also contains a very important message to those who believe that a person might lose their salvation if that person commits a sin for which they don’t immediately ask forgivness. In the quote, Paul proves that contention to be wrong in every sense of the word. Verse thirty of the quote says, “grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are SEALED unto the day of redemption”. If we are indeed sealed by the Holy Spirit of God, as Paul assures that we are, there is nothing that can take away our salvation, not even ourselves, seeing that there is no greater power on earth than the Holy Spirit of God.~

(Lesson 2928)(01-05-20) Ephesians 4:17-19
“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.”
Today’s lesson defines the Gentiles before we were introduced to Jesus, and warned us all to repent from our old ways. Paul’s description of the Gentiles before Jesus, also defines those that are lost today. ~

Lesson 2927
(Lesson 2927)(01-04-20) Ephesians 4:9- 16
“(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
In today’s quote, Paul established the every member of the church has a very important part to play, even down to the smallest part.
There is nothing to compare to the importance of Christ’s church. We are the ONLY conduit for God’s amazing grace to the lost.~

Lesson 2926
(Lesson 2926)(01-03-20) Ephesians 4:1-8
“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.”
In today’s lesson, Paul encouraged all of us who make up the church that Jesus established, to “walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called”. That means that we are to love God with all that we are, and to live our lives with a heart full of love for all of mankind, always demonstrating charity and kindness toward everyone.~

Lesson 2925
(Lesson 2925)(01-02-20) Ephesians 3:13-21
“ Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
Today’s quote is a prayer from Paul for the church at Galatia wherein he prayed for God’s grace and strength to be with them.
A true Christian is recongized by their display of the charistics that Paul described in this prayer. If we maintain a heart full of love and demonstrate daily our faith in Jesus, we will have mastered the requirements that God has placed upon us.~

Lesson 2924
(Lesson 2924)(01-01-20) Ephesians 3:1-12
“For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.”
Today’s lesson establishes that Paul was divinely sent to be a specific conveyor of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles. During his entire ministry, the Jews were chasing and trying to kill Paul because he refused to impose the rituals and restrictions of the old law upon the Gentiles. As we know today, many of the rituals of Judaism have been incorporated into most of today’s, so-called, Christian churches. I believe Paul would roll over in his grave if he could see what has become of his work. Thank God there are still that faithful few who hold on to the pure gospel of Jesus Christ.~
