(Lesson 2839)(10-04-19) Romans 14:12-13
“ So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.”

Today’s quote clearly establishes that there are to be NO “stumbling blocks”, additions with conditions, added to the doctrine of Jesus Christ so as to make salvation more difficult to attain than simply having a total reliance, through faith, on the sacrificed blood of Jesus to cleanse us from all sin.
The rituals of water baptism, communion, etc, are just such stumbling blocks. Placing those rituals between a lost soul and his/her eternal salvation requires that the faith of that lost soul be split between the virgin born life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ and those  wrongfully required rituals.
The baptism that saves the souls of the lost is the metaphorical immersion of that lost soul into the perfectly sinless sacrificed body of our Lord Jesus Christ. John the baptist said, “I indeed baptize you with water unto (toward) repentence. But He that cometh after me, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” (Matthew 3:11) Being baptized with the Holy Ghost is to be immersed into, or overwhelmed by, the Spirit of Jesus Christ Himself. “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized (Immersed) into Christ have put on Christ.” (Galatians 3:26-27)~
