(Lesson 2378)(06-17-18) Matthew 24:1-2
    “ And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
    In today’s quote, Jesus told His disciples of the coming, and complete, distruction of the temple. And, just as Jesus said, not many years after He made that prophesy, Rome completely obliterated the Temple, and its accompanying buildings.
    To date, the temple has not been rebuilt. The ground where it stood now houses “The Dome of the Rock”, the third most holy worship site among Muslims.
    I’m convinced that eventually, before the return of our Lord, the temple of the Jews will be restored to it’s past glory on the same site where it stood when Jesus made that prophesy. ~
