Lesson 1754

(Lesson 1754)(08-02-16) Luke 12:8-10

"Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven."

In today's quote Jesus blessed us with a promise that if we preach His name to those around us He will stand up for us in the presence of God the Father. He also warned us that if we deny Him in our daily lives, He will deny us before God.

The last part of this quote is very straight forward and leaves no room for confusion. If we speak ill of Jesus, it can be forgiven. But, if we make light of the Holy Spirit of God, and blaspheme Him, it will never be forgiven.

I believe that statement means that if a soul rejects the Holy Spirit, that soul has no chance of eternal redemption and will suffer the ultimate wrath of God, in hell, throughout eternity.~
