(Lesson 1570)(01-22-16) Matthew 18:18-20
"Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
In today's quote, Jesus promised His disciples that whatever they might desire and pray for on this earth will be granted in heaven. Jesus then went further and assured the members of His church that whenever as many as two of them agreed upon any one thing, by the power of God, it would be done.
We, the children of God, should take advantage of this promise in every aspect of our lives. We should pray unceasingly and faithfully assembly get together with our brothers and sisters in Christ to, through the power of the Holy Spirit that is granted to us, solve the everyday problems that confront us. "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16)
This is a promise of which we should all take constant advantage.~
