Today's lesson tells us that in all we do, whether if be for the better or the worse, we are to do it toward the furtherance of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In the latter portion of this lesson, we are cautioned not to be "unequally yoked together with unbelievers". Some understand this warning to mean that a Christian should not marry an un-believer, I disagree. Since marriage between a believer and an un-believer IS scripturally accepted, 1 Corinthians 7:14, "For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy."

This admonition means that Christian people should not allow themselves to take part in any doctrine, or faith, other than the one explicitly described in the pure gospel of Christ.
In other words, we are NOT to dabble in things that might take from devotion to the ministry of the gospel.
We are above all, and at all times and in everything we do, to present ourselves as the children of God.~
