Lesson 4539

(Lesson 4539)(07-07-24) John 12:20-23

And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus. Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus. And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.”

Today’s quote tells us that some Greeks who had come to Jerusalem for the Passover festival expressed a desire to see Jesus. They approached Philip, who then told Andrew, and together they informed Jesus about the Greeks' request. In response, Jesus declared that the hour had come for the Son of Man to be glorified, indicating that His time of sacrifice and glorification was near. ~
