Lesson 4443

 (Lesson 4443)(04-02-24) Luke 22:21-23

But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed! And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.”

In today’s quote, Jesus announced at the Last Supper that one of the apostles present would betray Him. Despite being chosen as His close companions, Jesus revealed that His betrayer was among them, which led to confusion and suspicion. The apostles began to question among themselves who could possibly commit such an act, deeply troubled by the notion that one of their own, sharing in their fellowship and ministry, would betray their Lord. This moment is poignant, marking the fulfillment of prophecy and the beginning of the events leading to Jesus' crucifixion.~
