Lesson 4215

 (Lesson 4215)(08-06-23) Mark 4:10-12

“And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.”

Today’s lesson is a very important one wherein Jesus related that the new law of salvation by grace through faith, was, until Jesus had completed His divine mission as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of all those who would come to believe in Him, a “mystery”.

The lesson says it was given to the apostles to understand that mystery; However, unto the masses, God’s divine plan was to remain a mystery until all, including the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of Jesus, was accomplished. In other words, there could be no salvation until the plan was fully completed. No forgiveness of sins until the sacrifice had been made.~
