Lesson 2355

(Lesson 2355)(05-23-18) Matthew 18:19-20
“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

Today’s lesson assures the children of God that if as many as two assemble themselves in the name of Jesus Christ, they are considered an “assembly” in the sight if God. The full power of the church is thereby given to so few as two members who have come together to do the work of Jesus Christ.
This lesson lays to rest the common misunderstanding that it is encumbent on every church member to take part in every pre-determined assembly.
I believe that, to best represent the cause Jesus Christ, one must go to where the sinners are. It does little good for the cause of Christ to sit in a crowded assembly just for the sake of being there.~
