Lesson 2052


(Lesson 2052)(06-15-17) 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

    
Today's lesson is a very, very, very important one that should be indelibly stamped into the minds of every child of God.
Most every so-called Christian doctrine today, will openly contend that if a born again child of God does not, after accepting Jesus Christ, maintain a perfect sin-free life, abstaining from even the appearance of evil, that one will lose their salvation upon the commission of the very first sin. However, most so-called Christian doctrines do also contend that if one asks for forgiveness for the sin before death, the sin will be forgiven and that one's saved status will be re-instated. That whole idea is just another pathetic means by which mankind attempts to insert him/herself into an act of grace that belongs to God alone.
As today's quote so clearly proves, the contention that a child of God must live a totally righteous life here on earth in order to maintain his/her salvation, is absolutely and totally false. In today's quote, Paul unequivocally stated that the sins of one who has give his/her life to Christ, no matter what those sins are, are "JUSTIFIED in the name of our LORD JESUS, and BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD".
If a person's actions are "JUSTIFIED" by God Himself, there can be no penalty for those actions.~
