"Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day."
Today's quote is a short one but none-the-less very important in that herein Jesus prophesied the completion of His divine mission which would end with His death on the cross.
In Luke 12:50 Jesus referred to the events of His death, burial and resurrection as a "baptism" that He must endure. Reflecting on what Jesus said in today's quote will help us better understand the full intent of His use of the word "baptism" when we reach that lesson.~
