(Lesson 3537)(09-09-21) John 7:11-17
“Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he? And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people. Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews. Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.”
Today’s quote relates how the Jews were shocked at Jesus’ ability to preach from the Law having never been schooled.
Today’s lesson is one that should be certainly and carefully considered by many of today’s, so-called, Christians.
Far too many believe that in order to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, one must have been properly schooled. Nothing could be further from the truth. The ONLY education that is necessary for ANY reborn child of God to be completely capable of teaching, and preaching, the word of God, is that education which comes through prayerful bible study with the power of the Holy Spirit of God as the teacher. That power is granted to every prayerful child of God.~
