Lesson 2144

(Lesson 2144)(10-20-17)  1 Timothy 5: 1-3
    “Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity. Honour widows that are widows indeed.”

    In today’s quote, Paul gave Timothy instructions as to how a pastor is to treat the different groupings and ages of Christians within the church.
   In the last part of the quote, Paul spoke of “widows indeed”. A “widow indeed” is a woman who has been married and whose husband is deceased and has no other family member to care for her.~
