Lesson 573

(Lesson 573)(03-12-13) Hebrews 6:1-6, "Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame."

Within today's lesson are some of the most comforting words ever spoken to those of us who truly believe that Jesus is the only remitter of sins and have placed our faith in Him.
It simply says that IF one who is saved by the Grace of God could fall away, or his/her salvation (which CANNOT happen), in order to regain it, Jesus would have to be brought back to earth and sacrificed a second time.

Those of us who have studied God's promise, know that cannot happen because those whom have accepted a sacrificed Jesus Christ as intercessor for their sins, are sealed by the Holy Spirit of God until the resurrection of man. John 6:27-29, "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath GOD THE FATHER SEALED. Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye BELIEVE ON HIM HE HATH SENT."

Both the means of access and the promised seal are given in this passage.

I thank God my soul is saved and sealed!~
