Lesson 5132

 (Lesson 5132)(02-19-26) Matthew 13:1-9

“The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”

In today’s quote, Jesus illustrated through the parable of the sower that the "condition" of a person's heart determines whether the Word of God takes root and flourishes or is lost to external pressures and spiritual hardness. Emphasizing that, out of all the world, only a comparative few will come to accept His Gospel. ~

Lesson 5131

 (Lesson 5131)(02-18-26) Matthew 12:46-50

“While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

In today’s quote, Jesus defined his true family not by physical or biological ties, but by spiritual obedience, saying that anyone who does the will of His Father in heaven is His family. ~

Lesson 5130

 (Lesson 5130)(02-17-26) Matthew 12:38-45

“Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.”

In today’s quote, the intent is to put aside the faithless demand for miraculous ‘proving’ signs by declaring that the only ultimate proof of God’s amazing saving grace, is Christ’s resurrection (the "sign of the prophet Jonas"), while warning that a life merely cleaned by some, self imposed, moral codewithout being filled by the Spirit through repentanceis left vulnerable to the ultimate wrath of God. ~

Lesson 5129

 (Lesson 5129)(02-16-26) Matthew 12:33-37

“Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

In essence, today’s quote warns that if we believe in God, through Christ, our deeds will reflect itand that if we preach heresy, the wrath of God will await us. Sadly, the message that many “Christian” people are preaching today is nothing short of heresy. ~
