(Lesson 2863)(10-31-19) 1 Corinthians 6:12
“All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.”
There are many, today, who claim the mantle of Christianity yet contend that if a child of God commits a sin, her/she is again lost and therefore must be saved all over again. Nothing, in reality, could be further from the truth. As we see in today’s quote, Paul made it very clear that there is NO limitations on a child of God as to what he/she can or can’t do and still remain a child of God and heir to an eternal home in heaven; However, Paul also made it perfectly clear that we, the children of God are to do everything within our power to rise above sin. We are to control the actions of our bodies, being always aware that we are representatives of Jesus Christ in the flesh and are to conduct ourselves as such.

Lesson 2862
(Lesson 2862)(10-30-19) 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”
In today’s quote, Paul distinguishes between those who have not accepted the saving grace of God and those who have been eternally saved by that amazing grace. Therein, Paul listed the sins of the lost and noted that the saved are were equally guilty of some of the same sins, that is, until that saved person was washed by the blood of Jesus Christ whereby their sins were “JUSTIFIED”. That means that the sins of the saved were not merely forgiven, but rather, those sins were approved in the sight of God. I thank God that I am, by faith, “washed”, “sanctified” and “justified in the name of the Lord Jesus.~

“Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.”
In today’s lesson, Paul declares that failings that occur between those within the church should be judged by those who make up the church. Paul was rightfully convinced that no unsaved person should judge the matters of the church.~

(Lesson 2860)(10-28-19) 1 Corinthians 5:1-13
“It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.”
In today’s quote, Paul relates that members of the church are not to “eat” with a someone who has been labeled a “fornicator”. He also applied the same rule to the “covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner”
It is my belief, that the term “fornicator”, as Paul applied it in today’s quote, describes one who has been found to be persuing heretical religious beliefs other than the strict gospel of Jesus Christ. I do not believe the term, as Paul applied it, only refers to those who have committed fornication according to the generally accepted sexual definition of the term. I came to that conclusion after finding that the same term is also applied by other biblical authors to describe those who adhere to heretical religions such as Catholicism, Mormonism, and many other distorted versions of Christianity.
I suggest that everyone read the seventeenth chapter of Revelation wherein John tells of the “great whore” and exposes the fate of those who fornicate with her. I am convinced that when John referenced the “great whore”, he was referencing the Roman Catholic Church. If you read that chapter, I believe you will understand why I believe as I do concerning Paul’s usage of the term “fornicator” in today’s quote.~

Lesson 2859
(Lesson 2859)(10-27-19) 1 Corinthians 4:5-21
“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another. For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you. For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day. I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you. For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church. Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you. But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?”
In today’s lesson, Paul told the corinthians to regard no man of God above another, but rather, to give the glory to God always, as they all teach His divine word.
Paul also seemed to pass the responsibility for the continuance of evangelism from the apostles to the children of God within the church. He instructed that they were to accept Timothy as a true minister of the gospel of Christ and to take him into their fold.
In the last part of the quote, Paul reminded the Corinthians to cease from exalting one person over another within the church. ~

“ Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.”
In today’s lesson, Paul made it clear to the membership at Corinth that he didn’t really care what they thought of him so long as the recognized him as a fully dedicated messenger of Jesus Christ.~
I sincerely apologize for not having posted a lesson these last three days but I was out of state and unable to properly connect with the internet. I am deeply sorry and will try to do better.

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's; And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.”
Today’s quote speaks loudly for itself. It relates that NOTHING is hidden from God and that all who vainly promote themselves, or any individual within the church, will suffer the wrath of God.~
